WordPress Website Maintenance & Care Plans
Your website shouldn’t feel like a fragile machine you’re scared to touch. With our WordPress maintenance plans, we keep your site updated, backed up, secure, and running smoothly — while you stay focused on your business.

Updates handled • Daily off-site backups • Security scans • Uptime monitoring • Small edits included
Why Website Maintenance Matters (More Than Most People Think)
Most WordPress websites don’t “break overnight.” They slowly drift.
A plugin update gets postponed. Backups become “something we’ll do later.” A small error gets ignored because the site mostly works… until one day an update crashes the layout, a form stops sending leads, or the site gets infected at the worst possible time.
Our maintenance plans are built to prevent that slow decline. Along with WordPress development, we also keep your WordPress core, plugins, and theme in shape, maintain reliable backups, and catch issues early — before they turn into downtime, lost enquiries, or panic fixes.

What We Take Care Of (So You Don’t Have To)
Here’s what our care plans are designed around:
Core, plugin & theme updates (done safely, on schedule)
Backups you can rely on (stored separately from your host)
Security scanning & basic hardening checks
Uptime monitoring so problems don’t stay hidden
Fixes for update-related issues (where possible)
Small content edits included (so the site stays current)
Real humans you can email when something feels off
This is not “set it and forget it” hosting support. It’s active WordPress care — focused on stability, safety, and peace of mind.

Not sure which plan fits?
Tell us what kind of site you run (and how critical it is), and we’ll recommend the right plan.
What’s Considered a “Small Task”?
Each plan includes a set number of small edits — these are quick, contained updates that typically take about 15–20 minutes each.
Examples of small tasks:
- Updating text or swapping an image on an existing page
- Updating contact details, hours, or a CTA
- Adding a blog post you’ve already written (content provided by you)
- Updating a menu link or button destination
- Installing and configuring a straightforward plugin
Not included as a small task:
- Full page redesigns or custom design work
- Large features or complex functionality
- Custom plugin development
- Full rebranding, content strategy, or major SEO campaigns
If something goes beyond “small task,” we’ll tell you upfront and quote it as a mini-project — no surprises.

How the Process Works
Website maintenance shouldn’t feel vague. We keep it structured, time-bound, and easy to follow — with clear ownership on our side.
Step 1
Quick audit & access
We review your setup (theme, plugins, hosting environment, recent issues) and collect secure access. If anything looks risky (outdated plugins, abandoned themes, messy backups), we flag it early.
Step 2
Baseline backup + safety checks
Before touching anything, we ensure clean backup coverage and confirm the site can be restored if needed. This is where many “cheap maintenance” services cut corners — we don’t.
Step 3
Ongoing care (updates, scans, monitoring)
We run updates on schedule, scan for vulnerabilities, and keep watch for uptime issues. When something breaks because WordPress is WordPress… we handle it.
Step 4
Small edits + ongoing improvements
You can send your included monthly edits (based on your plan). We keep the site fresh so it doesn’t become a stale brochure that slowly loses trust and conversions.
You get a calmer website experience: fewer surprises, fewer emergency fixes, and a WordPress site that stays healthy as it grows. If you ever want to scale into performance, security, or managed hosting, you’ll already have the right foundation in place.
Want Us to Handle More Than Maintenance?
Once your Care Plan is in place, some clients also want deeper, specialized help — especially when performance, security, or hosting quality becomes a bottleneck.
Below are dedicated services available via HostingITrust (our WordPress care and managed hosting brand), with full details on those pages.
Managed WordPress Hosting
If your current host is slow, unstable, or support is unreliable, managed hosting removes the guesswork. We help migrate your site, optimize the server setup, and keep the foundation stable.
WordPress Speed Optimization Service
For sites failing Core Web Vitals or “feeling slow” even when they look fine. This is a focused performance push — caching, asset optimization, image/media improvements, and real-world speed gains.
WordPress Security & Malware Cleanup
If your site is hacked, infected, or blacklisted, cleanup needs to be done properly — not with quick patches that allow reinfection. This is an emergency one-time service with clear scope.
WordPress Site Migration
Moving hosts (or moving to a better setup) is where many sites lose traffic due to poor redirects, broken links, or messy DNS changes. We handle migrations carefully, with SEO-safe checks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you maintain existing websites you didn’t build?
Yes. We can take over most WordPress sites. We’ll first review the theme/plugin stack and flag anything risky (abandoned plugins, outdated PHP, messy builders, etc.).
Do I have to move hosting to you?
No. Maintenance can run on top of your existing hosting if it’s stable. If hosting is the real problem, we’ll tell you honestly and suggest the cleanest path forward.
How fast do you respond if something breaks?
It depends on severity and plan level. If the site is down or throwing critical errors, those are treated as priority issues.
Will updates ever break the site?
WordPress updates can sometimes create conflicts — that’s exactly why maintenance exists. We manage updates carefully and fix update-related issues where possible.
Do you guarantee my site will never be hacked?
No one credible should promise “never.” What we do is reduce risk dramatically through updates, scanning, and good practices — and for higher-level plans, response and cleanup coverage is stronger.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. These are monthly care plans. If you cancel, we’ll hand over whatever access/reporting is needed for a clean transition.
What if I need a bigger change than a small edit?
We’ll quote it separately as a mini-project (design improvements, new landing pages, custom features, etc.). You’ll always know before we start.
